Founded in 2008 by a group of pirate enthusiasts and seasoned festival producers, the St Augustine Pirate Gathering opened its doors for the first time to 2,00-3,00 fun loving history buffs and festival participants over a two day period. This number grew over the years to approximately 12,000 participants in 2014. This attendance held fast for two years.
But it was time to Grow Up...So we moved to a bigger venue.
